If you love mushrooms and juicy, grilled burgers, this recipe was made especially for you! Top it off with creamy Gouda cheese, lettuce and onion for a cheesy, grilled sensation between two slices of brioche.
In a small sauté pan over high heat, sauté the mushrooms in oil. Reserve at room temperature.
Combine the beef with the shredded Gouda cheese, Dijon mustard, salt, black pepper and sautéed mushrooms. Mix well, then form into a 5-inch patty.
Preheat grill. Grill the onion slice until tender and slightly charred. Reserve.
Grill the burger until slightly charred and pink in the center, about 6 minutes, turning every 1½ minutes. Add the sliced Gouda cheese and continue cooking until melted. Meanwhile, grill the bun until warm and toasted.
To build the burger, place the patty on the bun and top with grilled onion, lettuce and your favorite condiments.
