Slow Cooker Grits

Creamy grits are cooked to perfection in the slow cooker and then topped with a hearty handful of Cheddar cheese.


  • 2 cups old fashioned stone ground grits
  • 6 cups stock (vegetable or chicken)
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp hot sauce
  • 2 tbsps kosher salt
  • 8 oz Crystal Farms Shredded Cheddar Cheese
  • 1 stick Crystal Farms® Butter, unsalted

  • Heat slow cooker to low, add in grits, stock and salt.
  • Every 3 hours, whisk vigorously if possible. The grits can sit for up to 8 hours on low.
  • When ready to serve, turn to warm and add remaining ingredients.
