Game Time Nachos

Prepare this cheesy game-time appetizer recipe when cheering your team to victory. It’s easy to add your favorite toppings to this mildly spicy snack everyone will love.


  • 1 lb extra lean ground beef
  • 1 1/2 tsps chilli powder
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 cup prepared salsa
  • 8 oz restaurant style white corn tortilla chips
  • 1 can (15oz) black beans, drained, rinsed
  • 1 can (2.25oz) sliced black olives, drained
  • 2 tbsps finely chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1 3/4 cups (6oz) Crystal Farms Shredded Cheddar Cheese
  • optional Sour cream


  • Heat oven to 300° F. Brown ground beef in 10-inch nonstick skillet over medium heat, stirring frequently. Drain grease
  • Stir in chili powder and cumin. Add salsa; stir until well mixed.
  • Layer 15x10x2 inch size baking dish or oven safe platter with tortilla chips. Spoon meat mixture over chips. Top with black beans, black olives, cilantro and Crystal Farms cheese.
  • Heat nachos in oven for 8 to 10 minutes or until cheese is melted. Top with sour cream. Serve immediately.

Chef's Tips & Suggestions

  • Like your nachos spicy? Use your favorite medium or hot salsa. You can also top your nachos with finely chopped jalapeno peppers. 
  • Prepare meat mixture and refrigerate until ready to assemble nachos.
