Cheddar and Bacon Puff Pastry Squares

These deliciously light and flaky squares are topped off with melted cheese, crumbled bacon, sour cream, and chives-and will have guests raving.


  • 1/2 package(17.3 oz) frozen puff pastry sheets (1 sheet), thawed
  • 18 slices Crystal Farms Mild Cheddar Cracker Cuts
  • 1/2 lb bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1/3 cup sour cream
  • 2 tbsps chopped fresh chives

  • Preheat oven to 400° F.
  • Unfold the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface. Roll the pastry sheet into a 12x12-inch square. Cut into 36 (2-inch) squares. Prick the pastry squares with a fork and place the squares onto baking sheets.
  • Bake for 8 minutes or until the pastries are golden brown. Using the back of a spoon, press down slightly on the tops of the hot pastries to level.
  • Place a half slice of Crystal Farms Mild Cheddar Cracker Cut Cheddar cheese and approximately 1 teaspoon crumbled bacon on top of each pastry square.
  • Bake for 5 minutes or until the cheese is melted.
  • Remove the pastries from the baking sheets and let cool on wire racks for 10 minutes.
  • Top each pastry with sour cream and chives.
